Sullivan County Health Department conducts an annual Influenza Vaccine Clinic every year in Milan, on the day of Milan C-2 Homecoming. Influenza clinics are also conducted at each school in Sullivan County for students in 5th – 12th grade, as well as school staff members. Influenza vaccine is also available, by appointment, at the health department any time after Homecoming.
Influenza vaccine offered includes Quadrivalent, High Dose, as well as Flublok, as cell based vaccine offered to people with egg allergies. Influenza vaccine is available to all people from 6 months of age and up, regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay. Vaccines for Children vaccine is utilized for Medicaid, Uninsured, Native American/Alaska Native, and Underinsured individuals. Private insurance is billed through VaxCare. Donations are accepted from uninsured individuals, but is not required to receive the vaccine.
