Are you ready for emergencies that might hit our area? We can never know exactly when an emergency will take place, so you need to have a plan in place to keep yourself ready for anything.
What will you do when the next disaster strikes? Your Sullivan County Health Department is always looking ahead to potential issues that may arise in the community. We develop plans, participate in exercises, and coordinate with numerous agencies, such as other county health departments, the Department of Health, the State Emergency Management Agency, and Senior Services. We do this to ensure we are adequately prepared to respond to events in our local and surrounding communities to prevent loss, promote health, and ultimately keep our citizens safe. Whether it is bioterrorism, natural disaster, disease outbreaks, or the emerging threats to public health, we remain prepared.
